In 2004, Jessica's heart had already been stirred to begin a feeder, but once she stepped into the community formerly known as Los Pajones where her mother had served 30 years prior, she was forever marked. So, with a dream and $200 in hand Jessica and her husband Oswald began planning their vision. A year later they were able to purchase land with the hope to build a community center. They began by giving out monthly groceries to families in the community. In 2007, with the help of the community, family, and friends they were able to complete the community center, and with the completion, they began serving daily meals during the weekdays. Since then they have been able to change the community name to Los Redimidos, which means the redeemed, create projects throughout the year such as the school supply drive and Gallon of Love, prepare medical and dental clinics, and much more. This organization is faith led and desires to spread hope, joy and the love of Christ through serving this community.
